A.Is
he/she a "real" clown, or just a person dressed
up in a silly costume with a bit of face paint.
B.Can the entertainer point you to
references or testimonials from similar recent events?
C.Will the entertainer ensure your
child is made a fuss of at the party - ensuring it is
their special day?
D.Can the entertainer cover a range
of activities to ensure your own particular party is
accounted for - eg Juggling, Magic, Balancing, Puppets,
Novel Party games, balloon sculpting and so forth.
E.Can you see pictures of previous
parties to get a feel for how the party will look -
on the web, or in a brochure for example.
At the end of the party, it's your
kids that are going to decide if the party was fun or
not, so please don't get caught out with cheap imitations.
Know what to expect and look for references!

Most parents I chat
to are considering these two options. To be honest,
each has its own merits. My two kids have enjoyed all
of the above at various times, and have no real "hates".
However, here are the main reasons I believe a live
entertainer makes for an ideal party.
1. Your child's
friends (and their mums:-) get to see your happy home
2. None of that horrible noise that
is pervasive in Dublin's"leisure" centres
3. A chance to introduce your child
to neat party games - (games that can replace the TV
when I'm long gone)
4. There is nothing better than hearing
your children and their friends laugh together in your
own home.
5. Professional entertainment frees
up your time to look after the food and presents that
need organising in any party.
6. No risk of children getting lost
or hurt - as is the case in most leisure complexes
7. Secretly - Mums and Dads enjoy my
shows too !!
8. All children receive a hand made
gift at my shows
9. The Birthday boy/girl is completely
spoilt for the whole show - not just blowing out a candle
on a cake.
10. When I do a show, all the kids
talk to their mums and school friends about "so
and so's birthday" making your child the news of
the classroom for weeks to come.
11. All the world loves a clown! |
